There was much discussion last week concerning the 7th Tradition.

Do we want to start practicing the 7th Tradition?

Yes, lets practice this tradition. Lets choose a treasurer and set up an adress. The money can be split up like all the groups in our area do. 30% GSO, etc.

Yes, I do want to practice the 7th tradition -- we are self-supporting. My guess is that a contribution on your anniversary month would be the easiest to manage and remember. I'd call it planning ahead for a year of sobriety, not projecting!

As a member I also think that we should begin practicing the 7th Tradition. Judy’s suggestion seems like a good one although I think it should be up to the individual member, if, how, and when, a contribution is made. I think that we should elect a Treasurer and set up a PO Box for SC contributions. I also believe that there should be an alternate that is close enough geographically to assume the duties of Treasurer if necessary. I like the system that it used by other electronic meetings as far as donating the balance of remaining funds (after rent, expenses and prudent reserve) to GSO. In my opinion we are not confined to any Area or District and donating the balance to GSO would simplify the Treasurer's duties.

I agree with Perry, Judy and Tim G., we should practice the 7th tradition. I lke Tim G.'s outline of how we can do it.

In a related matter, I don't think we need to vote on this necessarily. Rather, If it becomes obvious that we all fairly much agree on any issue, someone(likely a secretary or chairperson) could just summarize the "sense of the meeting". If anyone disagreed, they could continue the discussion.

I think we should practice the 7th tradition, which means we need to elect a treasurer, establish a P.O box.

I also feel we should rent server space, for the meeting (this would cost about $20 a month, billed quarterly) after that and the P.O.box and a prudent reserve,I think any additional moneys should be contributed to G.S.O.

I believe we should follow the 7th tradition and be self supporting through our own contributions. Any expenses incurred by our truste crybrants should be reimbursed and the expense of the site be paid by us jointly. After a prudent reserve, send money to GSO.

I agree that we start practicing the 7th Tradition.I feel the trusted servents,Po Box,Prudent reserve& contributiting to GSO. Also in need of a treasurer. I was at the N.E. Regional Forum this past weekend & I will be recieving imformation from GSO on how others have did this .Also the Delegate of Dist. 61 is giving me some imformation on this ,Sunday. The people at GSO asked that we let them know what we will try & how things work. They said they are always looking for new information to help pass on.
